Well....I'm living on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior in a little log cabin on the Knife River, just outside of Two Harbors with my family, 2 dogs, a cat and assorted critters in the crawlspace. I'm a recently retired teacher of the 6th grade at Two Harbors High School (6-12), after 20 years at Minnetonka Middle School East (where I had the pleasure of hanging out with Jennifer Brown Wolff's lovely daughters and Jane Ellingson Ehresmann's boys). I coached middle school track and still work with aspiring rock and rollers in a club I run.
My lovely, patient wife, Shelley, works with autistic kids at a charter school in Duluth. She's also an accomplished block print artist and poet - her work is in many galleries and shops along the shore.
My wife and I own a couple of off-grid cabins that we rent through Airbnb. The last few months have been crazy busy, keeping us mostly out of trouble.
So anyway, life is good...as long as the pipes don't freeze and the bears stay out of the garbage cans.
